The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

Since 1950, Society for Science & the Public has provided an international stage for the world’s best and brightest young scientists through its International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s premier STEM competition. For more information click here.

The Scientific Review Committee Forms (SRC Forms) provide a guarantee that all projects submitted met the highest standards of precollegiate STEM research, maintaining the safety and wellbeing of both the student researcher and the human or other biological subjects of that research.

Visit the ISEF site for the complete rules of ISEF and detailed directions for every SRC form.

Click to the Rules Wizard to access the SRC online tool that assists in selecting the appropriate forms. You can also receive online help as part of the TAASF/TISSF registration process, if necessary.

The Fair Committee is pleased to host live virtual sessions to help students and their adults prepare the forms. Please contact the Fair Director for more info.

The Terra Fairs are affiliated with the internationally-known STEM fairs ISEF and GENIUS Olympiad. Terra fully funds selected finalist projects and students from its affiliated and partner fairs to attend ISEF or GENIUS Olympiad for exceptional international and scientific experiences. One project will be advanced to ISEF in partnership with one of the sister Terra Fairs; two TAASF and two TISSF projects will be advanced to GENIUS.

It's an international science fair! Every year, tens of millions of students in grades 9-12 participate in science fairs around the globe but only about 1,800 earn the right to compete for nearly $5 million in awards bestowed each May at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition featuring projects in an array of disciplines with an environmental focus. These include Science, Writing, Business, Robotics, Art, Music, and Short Film. GENIUS was founded and is organized by Terra Science and Education, and is now hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology, which provides scholarships to select students.
